Dawn can be a magical moment in the day. When the sun bursts on to the sky and illuminates all below. There is nothing quite like it.


I came across this old and weathered fencing post and have paid it a number of visits recently. I knew the dawning sun would appear over the crest of the hill, but I was utterly surprised when it illuminated the post as well. The post looked like it was intentionally placed there to catch the rays of the dawning sun.
