The aim of this one day course is to equip you with the skills and knowledge necessary to enable you to create stunning panoramic images.
Panoramic Photography is a unique way of capturing the natural beauty that mother nature presents us with every day of the year. It is a technique which Photographer Peter O’Donnell has adopted to achieve his award-winning landscape photographs. Peter initially became interested in panoramic photography as a hobby that allowed him to both hill walk and practice his photography, but his "hobby" gradually became a full-time profession and grew into a collection of limited edition prints, now in high demand.
The Shannon Region consists of many sites of spectacular natural beauty. One of its real jewels is the Clare Glens on the Limerick - Tipperary border. Over thousands of years, the River Clare has worn a steep-sided gorge through the rock resulting in a series of spectacular waterfalls. It offers an enormity of photographic possibilities including woodlands, streams and waterfalls. In this one day you’ll learn how to capture its beauty in panoramic splendour.

MORNING - Field Trip
The day starts at 9am at our studio with a brief introduction to panoramic photography, the gear used and techniques involved. Then it’s on to our location, the fantastic Clare Glens.
The morning is spent learning the practical techniques and skills required to achieve panoramic photographs.
We break for lunch, which is included in the cost, but if you prefer to spend longer on location, we can supply packed lunches.
AFTERNOON - Post-processing
The afternoon is spent at our studio, for post-processing, ‘the digital darkroom’ where you will learn a variety of techniques on how to properly create your panoramic image, colour correct, retouch and print. You will be taught using the latest software available.
At the end the day your best shot will be printed and framed for you to take home.
