A sunny day, a day off and a chance for a walk in the Nire Valley. It was not going to be missed. To me, the Nire Valley, is the most wonderful location in Ireland. I have never come away from it without having a complete sense of peace and humility. It could be raining from the heavens or the sun cracking the stones, it’s always a most wonderful and captivating place.
I had the pleasant company of a companion on the walk-about and I couldn’t believe it that we were the only ones on the hills except for a lone sheep.
